Overview

Based on data reported by the State, after reconciliation, the revenues generated by the mining sector totaled CFAF 186.776 billion for the year 2017 against CFAF 164.585 billion in 2016, i.e. an increase of (+13, 48%). This amount includes payments received directly by the State totaling 174.080 billion FCFA, social payments amounting to 9.929 billion FCFA and dividends from State holdings of around 2.767 billion FCFA.

The share of income allocated directly to the State budget, which represents 95.87% of the total income of the sector, comes mainly from the industrial exploitation of gold (93.3%) and the exploitation of zinc (3.8%).
