Project Owners & Status

Bougouni Lithium project is 100% owned by Kodal Minerals. Kodal has implemented an accelerated exploration and development program aimed at advancing the project into production in a short timeframe as practicable. In February 2019, the Company announced an updated JORC Mineral Resource for the Bougouni Project of 21.3Mt at 1.11% Li2O, with 11.6Mt at 1.13% Li2O in the Indicated category and 9.7Mt at 1.08% Li2O in the Inferred category. This updated Mineral Resource is 23% higher than the original Maiden Mineral Resource released in September 2018, with over 55% of the Resource now in the Indicated category.

Infrastructure

The Bougouni project area can be accessed through an existing sealed road from Bamako. Since the project is located in a remote location, internationally sourced goods, reagents, and consumables will be delivered to the site through Abidjan or San Pedro ports in Côte d’Ivoire. Kodal Minerals also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mali Lithium, the developer of the Goulamina lithium project in the same region, to review the establishment of certain common infrastructure facilities for both projects in January 2020.
